Got this impressive starter kit for my basement bar and wowza! Very impressed! It comes with everything you need to professionally prepare smoked whiskey and a few starter wood cups to start figuring out what you like flavor wise. It's a fantastic set for gifting or personal enjoyment. Every piece is thoughtfully curated and made with quality materials. It's simple and intuitive to use and probably the most all inclusive starter kit I've seen at an affordable price. Love this kit and would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys taking their whiskey sipping to the next level!
Great Way to Add Some Extra Flavor to Your Whiskey
This has been a great little kit for kicking back with some of the guys and having a drink or two. I've really enjoyed adding the smoky flavor to my whiskey, with pecan and cherry being my favorites, although all of the options have been good overall. The chilling stones are another nice addition since they let you cool your drink without watering it down and changing the flavor. I also think this is a great kit for beginners like me, while still offering plenty for someone who already has experience with whiskey smoking. The igniter is easy to use, and the whole process is pretty straightforward. One thing I learned is that you don't want to leave the smoke sitting in the glass for too long. Around 20 seconds or so is plenty, because leaving it much longer can bring out more bitterness than you want. I picked this up specifically for whiskey, but I'm sure you could experiment with other drinks and cocktails as well. This would make a great gift for a whiskey drinker and has been a fun addition to my own collection.
Very nice, would be a great gift
This is a really nice whiskey smoker set kit. One thing to keep in mind is that the torch comes without butane, so you'll have to make sure that you fill it before you try to use it. The stainless cubes stay nice and cold without watering down a nice smoked bourbon. The variety of flavors added is really nice and it also comes with a cocktail recipe card and gives good insight on what flavors pair. Well. The box is really nice and this would make a great gift for any whiskey connoisseur.
Beautiful gift or treat yourself...
This is a high quality smoker kit absolutely appropriate for gift giving. The only thing I did was go and buy a little canister of butane so that the kit would be ready to go. Every element is high quality and it came with suggested pairings so even if you're new to this technique you will be able to experiment with confidence. Amazing kit, great price
5 stars for the design alone. It comes with everything you need including the torch (you will need butane), screens, wood chips, tongs and steel cubes. There is a card inside explaining flavor profiles and suggested smoke time taking both the guess work and research out of it! It also has a couple "recipes" with recommendations on what wood chips to use. In my opinion, this is an amazing value. I've spent more on a lesser kit. The chips are decently sized and burn well.
